My daughter, best friend and I really enjoyed our stay! The house is located directly across from the beach with views from the patio off one of the rooms. Very short walk to multiple costal access points and restaurants. The house was very clean, cozy and well stocked. I wish there were screens on the windows so that we could’ve kept them open more and an earlier check in would’ve been awesome! Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay.

If it wasn't for the check in and check out issues, it was really a great place. Roomy and clean.
Positive: Apartment was clean and big for family. Looked like pictures posted on site. Negative: Check in and check out really rough. Host/Maintenance needs to improve communication, so guest not impacted. Painters still finishing job at check in, asked our family of 5 wet from beach to wait for 1 hour so paint could dry on floor of entry area and decks surrounding unit. Veranda floors had to be cautiously walked on to not track paint on shoes/slippers and into apartment. Check out at 11am, but at 10am window washers hitting windows while we were still packing up. Penthouse above being washed. Some of our items on the deck were spayed wet! Thanks a lot...they knew we were there! Had to ask them to stop so we could pack up car and check out. Water/soap dripping from unit above onto verandas and stairs made it unsafe to exit unit. Very lucky no one slipped. Had to use hoodies to get out of this second-floor unit.

The kitchen was adequately stocked but it would be difficult to cook a very elaborate meal. It’s right across the road from the ocean and a short walk both directions to the beach, great location!

I love this location near Half Moon Bay. Easy access to long walks along beach. The house was clean and fun to stay in due to the pool table which we really enjoyed. A well stocked kitchen allowed us to prepare simple meals when we were not eating at one of the any great restaurants nearby.

The best part of this rental is the location. Otherwise the bedrooms are very small, there is a bright light coming from the hallway into the common area where 2/6 guests are supposed to sleep, and you can hear the upstairs guests. During the one night it rained, there was a leak from the ceiling in front of one of the bedrooms. There were water stains on the beam so it is clear that this has happened before. They sent someone out to put a bucket where we had already placed a receptacle for the water. They were supposed to come the next day to do repairs. We rescheduled our day to accommodate them. They didn’t tell us until later in the day they were not fixing it until we left. It was an inconvenience for a $500/night stay. I requested a partial refund. They said they would check with the owner and then I followed up and no response, no refund. Bottom line is for the money I would go someplace else.

What a great place to stay in Half Moon Bay. The Arbnb was exceptionally clean, house well stocked with towels, linens, and the kitchen had all the essentials for us to cook. Andreia was a wonderful host and responded immediately with any questions we had. The location was what we wanted and it delivered! It was perfect for stepping outside to walk the beach with our pups. It was also fabulous for sitting on the deck and looking out at the ocean curled up in one of the rocking chairs. I brought extra blankets and towels but there were plenty for our use. The space was open and inviting. It is the whole middle level/floor so just know that when people rent out the Penthouse you can hear them moving around/coming and going. We would definitely go back you can’t beat the location and our pups loved it too! Thank you Andreia!

It was a very nice stay.
Positive: This property was incredible. It met our expectations for a beach house. The views are simply stunning, you can't get any closer to the ocean and it was exactly what we were looking for. Everything worked as described and they have streaming services available which was nice. We ate out while there but picked up wine, snacks, etc. at the local Safeway. I was a little worried because in the pictures the apartment looks very spacious (it really is) and I thought the space would be freezing the entire time, but I was wrong. It was so cozy and warm when we walked in the door. It was like a warm hug, We love this area and visit as often as we can and would consider booking this place again. Negative: I know this is not the only place and appears to be the norm with these kinds of bookings, but paying over $300 for a cleaning fee, when you're expected to take out the trash. How did this become a thing?!?!? Other than that, nothing at all. It was an enjoyable stay.

The main/common area is large while the bedrooms are small, and this worked out quite well because the kids loved running around the living room and the deck. We had to put the billiard balls and equipment out of the kids' reach because we were worried about damage, but that wasn't a big deal. Loved the deck with a view of the ocean. We were only able to stay one night, but would return for two nights next time. The kitchen was perfect for us, minimal if you want to do any significant cooking, but it was totally fine for a simple dinner, breakfast and snacks.

My recommendation would be to have some water in the refrigerator and a sweet roll or pastry for the morning coffee. A bigger rug at the front door or add another one for sandy shoes. We were so pleased with our stay at the villa, it was even better than we expected! The photos don’t do it justice, it’s very cozy and has all the basics for a few days enjoying the coast! There is a ton of space in the common area to hangout, play games, etc. The kitchenette works great for simple breakfast and warming up food (no full kitchen) and you can walk a short distance down to the Miramar beach restaurant for full meals & drinks! The private balcony had two rocking chairs perfect for sitting out and enjoying the ocean views and sounds. You can open up all the windows and hear the waves crashing day and night! I was able to bring my dog and she may have had the best time of us all, we walked down to the beach and let her run multiple times a day! We cannot wait to come back to stay again!

Positive: Fantastic location with great facilities. Bedrooms were small yet Cosy, both with direct access to side decks. Pool table was a great added feature. Plenty of main living space and kitchen amenities. Negative: The property is split into 3 levels that are each rentable. Noise transfer is minimal but varies on each guest. The first night ground floor guests had a party into the very early morning hours (5:30am). They were extremely loud and aggressive. This is obviously beyond the control of the owners. However, our message complaint was never responded to by the property managers. Communication could improve.

Great location!! Right off the beach, and can't beat that! The windows opened for an amazing breeze, and sounds of the waves at night were so relaxing. You can hear the upstairs guests, but it never became too loud. The beds could use a mattress turn to even out the wear. Out of all the rentals we've stayed at, this one had very nice linens for the beds. Some reviews complained about the lack of a full kitchen, but we did just fine with stovetop, microwave, and toaster oven... and we also were happy to try local places for meals!

Easy to access deck and open windows for ocean sounds. Beautiful location. Beach right there. Awesome food nearby. Easy to find. Nice and friendly host. Do to our issues, the host promised us a remedy. Parking was easy. CONS: We had to get the host to replace a door lock. Pro: she fixed it within 24 hours. We had to cancel/change plans for workmen, which was frustrating. We only had 3 days. The check in was confusing - despite the directions we did not find the door easily. The person that answered when we couldn't get in said "thousands of people stay here without an issue" - no need to insult us, we are smart people and it was confusing. Then, we felt unsafe because a door lock didn't work and "thousands of people" stayed there. You hear foot traffic upstairs. Kitchen cabinets/drawers = replace!

That said, the lack of a proper kitchen - including omission of real oven, dishwasher, ice, and some kitchen staples like measuring cups - makes it a hard sell for more than a night or two. There’s also not much privacy from the penthouse which is it’s own unit. But overall nice place next to the beach with a pool table.

Beautiful view from the side deck (no view from inside the house really) and great location, right across the street from the beach! Comfortable beds but no storage area in the bedrooms. Kitchen has all that you need for cooking meals except for a full size oven- it does have a toaster oven. Coffee, beach towels and sunscreen all provided!

Positive: Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Meer in einer ruhigen und sicheren Gegend. Die Übergabe lief problemlos. Die Wohnung ist so wie auf den Fotos. Der Wohnbereich mit Billardtisch ist groß. Es sind viele Decken vorhanden, sollte man frieren. Negative: Leider war das Licht im Wohnzimmer ausgefallen. Trotz Anruf und Reklamation wurde das Problem innerhalb der zwei Tage Aufenthalt nicht behoben. Die Schlafzimmer sind sehr klein, sodass keine Koffer oder Kleidung abgelegt werden können. Es gibt aber einen Zwischengang vor dem Badezimmer, der dafür genutzt werden könnte.

This property is based in a beautiful location right on the beach. As others mention, the bedrooms are small without closets. There is minimal cookware so not a great spot to stay if you plan on making meals. The layout is very strange as others mention and you can only see the ocean from the bedrooms at an angle. If the upstairs neighbors are home, it can be very loud as it can sound like they are stomping but perhaps it’s just poor flooring. The location is great but there are compromises

Great location, right on the water with easy access to a walking/running trail. As others have mentioned, it's a weird layout, but very clean and the layout worked well for me and my friend. Note - there are a total of 7 exterior doors and (when we stayed) the 2 doors leading to the private balcony did not lock. Everything was safe and fine, the balcony is on the 2nd floor, but we did move furniture in front of those doors prior to sleeping, just to be sure. Communication was pretty good and overall we had a wonderful time!

The location was great. Sleeping accommodations were too small/not comfortable for two couples, would be fine for two singles, but our 6’5” friend had to lay cushions on the living space floor because none of the beds fit him. Lots of stomping around upstairs at random hours, even 3am, so I would recommend bringing noise cancelling headphones. The space could be better laid out, but overall we needed a beach escape and this location delivered that. Probably wouldn’t stay here again unless some upgrades were made, but hosts were really nice and responsive and the location is perfect.

Great location but please note this is the second floor to the Villa which is not the rooftop. Also, downstairs is a art gallery which has lots of foot traffic and noises from 11-5pm on wknds. There’s doors the leads to the other side of stairs which other people has access to. Place echos and no lights throughout the stairs which made it hard for us to see at night. I have 2 kids and a emotional support dog, I wouldn’t recommend to stay here if you have a big family. Bed is short - I’m 5’7” and my feet dangles.

Excellent location. Clean and well-kept. Unusual layout for the space — very large common area with a somewhat dispersed kitchen, far from the bedrooms to the bathroom. Has everything you would expect but just laid out in an unusual way. Bedrooms are small and have no closets, but beds are comfortable. Somewhat quirky but very relaxing.

Location, location, location. That's what this place is all about. Being right on the water, it was just what we wanted. Plus it provided for easy access to all we wanted to do in the area. The space itself is a little odd, with an enormous open space, two bedrooms and a bathroom. But it was clean and comfortable. The owner was very responsive to the few questions we had. It was a great value for the price. We would stay here again if we were to visit the area again.

This spot was PERFECT! This place is all about location, steps from a cute little beach, restaurants and a short drive to coffee shops and nightlife. The area is such a quaint fishing town with friendly locals and great surf. You can see and hear the waves from both bedrooms. The space was open and clean! Andreia was helpful and very communicative! Great spot for a long weekend or week away. 10/10 would recommend!

Gorgeous views and sunsets! Great space on a quiet street, especially if you like to take walks outside. Spacious studio layout with everything we needed to cook & sleep. Various beaches are a short drive away, convenient decent restaurant at the end of the street to walk to, and the shopping centers were close by. We enjoy cooking and didn't seem to have a lot of counter space to prepare food, but that's personal preference. Host was communicative , check in was easy and the beds were comfortable. This was a great area to stay in! We enjoyed the large deck space and being so close to the Ocean. ( there is a rental space upstairs )

The apartment is in a good location and served as a convenient launching point to explore the Half Moon Bay Area. A few things to know is the apartment is on the second floor, it doesn’t have ocean views unless you go outside onto a patio and it was chilly inside, we had to run space heaters during our stay. The basic amenities were covered and it served its purpose for our stop on the coast.

Thank you so much Andriea. My college daughter, four legged son Zeus, and I had the most amazing time. Your place was exceptionally accommodating. Definitely would visit again. All the amenities were just want would be expected and needed for a perfect stay. The porch with chairs were my highlight. Loved all the windows and doors so we could open them and feel the ocean sound, wind, and waves. Felt safe enough to leave the bedroom doors open for the nighttime wind, waves, and whistles of the ocean. One night was extremely windy and feared the branches falling on the deck but guess those trees are hundreds of years old they stood strong. It was amazing to listen to. Only complaint if that was the upstairs guest. Extremely loud until early morning hour, with heavy stomping, and parking hog’age. Thank you again for hosting we will definitely revisit.

Everything is as described by the host. We loved our stay here with our dog and toddler. They loved running around the spacious living room. All rooms are well maintained and very clean. Trail and beach are at walkable distance. We invited our friends with kid over for lunch and played snooker. With two kids, 4 adults , 1 large dog still the living room felt spacious. Worth staying here with kids. Andreia was very kind to us in adjusting the last minute schedule changes. Thank you for having us.

The location is great - really easy access to the beach, and fine for a simple and small gathering. We had a lot of fun outdoors, in spite of blustery winter weather. The place was spotlessly clean and light and bright. But the photos seemed to me misleading. This is the second floor of a small building, with another apartment above (from which you can hear seemingly every footstep). There is no direct sea view from the apartment - the main bedroom looks out onto a stairwell between the apartment and the ocean, so curtains on that side have to be kept closed for privacy. A bit more equipment would make it more comfortable and enjoyable. There were only 3 chairs to sit on (in addition to the 2 couches) so eating at the dining table for a family of 4 was tricky. We ended up bringing in a couple of folding metal patio chairs. If you like cooking as a family it is also a bit tricky - there is no oven and very limited cooking equipment.

Thank you for your quick responses. Place was pretty cold at first night but warmed up during first night. Electric heaters are provided. Smell from kitchen sink was quite strong and should be cleaned. Window in the bathroom should be fixed so that it would at least close completely. Thanks for the possibility to use laundry machine. They worked perfectly. It’s great place for parties and get-togethers. We were just 2 of us. It was plenty of space for 2. Great location to listen waves and do beach walks.

Nice place and the description and photos are accurate. We enjoyed the sounds of the waves all night and it was a great white noise addition . The open windows did not bother us. This unit is on the second floor , there is a shop downstairs and a unit above. My family enjoyed shopping at the boutique right below! If you are lucky this might be a wonderful rental. Unfortunately for us the people upstairs partied, made raucous noises until 3am on the first day (sometimes going out onto their deck and yelling wildly) and 1am the second night . The nearest beach (miramar beach) is no longer 5 mins away because the bridge to the beach is closed for construction. This was a bummer for us.

The 2nd floor flat was clean and comfortable. I could not ask for a nicer location to enjoy a quiet break by the ocean. The beds were as described, but do pick the northernmost of the two if you like to leave your shades or Windows open, as the other bedroom windows opens onto the common deck and stair area leading upstairs and downstairs. It also is more exposed to street views. My only real issue, albeit a minor one, is that the hot water in the bathroom was a bit more than tepid most of the time -- not for those who appreciate a truly hot shower or bath! This might have been due to occupancy in the 'penthouse' unit above, or possibly because of the autumn time of my stay, but it might be worth checking. Other than that, the temperature and comfort lever of the whole flat was fine! The access to the beach is so easy that a 2-minute walk can take you out onto the sand. It is lovely to hear the ocean at night. Enjoy!

If you love ocean waves, this is a perfect place for you. You may watch waves from both bedrooms (sitting on bed), or from patio (sitting on relaxing chairs). If you open the glass window of bedrooms, you can hear sounds of ocean very well. Beach is just in front of the property, but you will have to walk around 100 yards or so along shoreline to access the beach. That walk does not feel like too much as the view is awesome. Several other nearby beaches are easily accessible by trails or road. I had read some reviews earlier that the front door did not have curtains and so I made alternate arrangements and it was okay for us. Bathroom is located on the rear of the unit which maybe a bit inconvenient for folks who wake up multiple times in the middle of night to access bathroom. I would love to stay there again.

Spacious, clean bnb with private parking hidden from the street. Centrally located, close to downtown and several beaches/hiking locations. All the amenities we needed were available and accurate as stated in the description of the listing. My cat enjoyed the space, especially underneath the bed in the carpeted bedroom and on the windowsill facing the beach. The central pool table was a nice feature to unwind after a long day of hiking/swimming. Checkin/out was simple One con: not recommended for light sleepers. The beach is literally across the street and you will hear the waves crashing through the night. This can be very soothing for some (including me), but may not be as peaceful for others who may have never experienced this. Note also that there is another Airbnb listing on the floor above (the Penthouse). During my first 2 nights, the Airbnb guests above were quiet and considerate, but I was still able to their footsteps. On my last night, new guests arrived who were much louder and played music at 5am. Andreia was very kind in quick to address the issue, but be aware of this potential if you stay. Overall a great stay if you don't mind the potential noise!

Highly recommended, comfortable stay roomy interior, there is a pool table and fireplace if you want to indulge. The kitchen has everything but a full-size oven. Bedrooms are cozy but are small with full-size beds. The bathroom is small but adequate and there is a tub with a shower and is bright and clean. There is a penthouse rental upstairs which I imagine has a separate review. During our stay there was a family who rented the penthouse with small kids so it did get a little noisy up above but nothing bothersome. The location is perfect and quiet. The beach is right there You do have to walk about a 1/10 of a mile to access it, or if you are a climber you can scale down the wall in front of the property to the beach :) Of course, I wouldn't advise that although people apparently do. The property is dog friendly and our Pomeranian loved it. There is a nice balcony to sit and watch the partial view of the ocean., which is also partially visible from each bedroom. One bedroom looks out towards the beach/ocean as well as a common deck and stairwell shared with the penthouse so we had to keep the blinds closed for privacy. But the other bedroom was relatively private, bright and the view was lovely. The parking is ample at the back of the property. You will have to park under some cypresses so of course if your stay is a while you will notice a fair amount of sap and needles that stick to your car. For you car folks this is a good test of ceramic coating... It all came off with a good carwash. There is a restaurant (I forget the name) within walking distance that is only open for lunch and dinner. We went on a weekday and there were no crowds. The food was good and the portions are huge. We sat outside with our dog. However when we left on Saturday afternoon by about1 pm the place was packed and there was a line. waiting. All in all this is a fantastic place to stay if you are in HMB. HIghly recommended and the host is very cordal and easy to communicate with. I would definitely stay again. Next time I might reserve the penthouse and see what that is like.

Wonderful location! Huge plus being able to walk to the beach in 3-4 minutes without having to pack up the car and find parking nearby. Another review noted that two windows have no blinds, but those windows aren't in the bedrooms and the place is on the second floor of the building, so there's plenty of privacy. The place was perfect for our stay.

Cons: There is another rental above this place, so if you're a light sleeper you might get woken up in the middle of the night by footsteps. There are 2 doors without any blinds so just be aware of this! Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay! It was fun being able to play pool, too! Thank you!

This was such a great place to stay! We brought our 1 year old and he had such a good time. We wanted a place really close to the beach to bring our son for his first trip to the water. Couldn’t have asked for better. Only 3-5 minute walk down the ocean side road to beach access, and you are in a really central area close to local restaurants and grocers. The unit was clean and equipped with everything you’ll need to stay in and make dinner and watch a movie if you choose not to go out; very homey. Also, really nice peaceful ocean sounds to sleep to.
