Positive: Comfortable, homey, and elegant all at same time. Great quality bedding and many, many spaces to spread out - the 3 outdoor spaces were among gorgeous treeline! Be sure to check out Alice’s Cafe, just a 3-4 minute walk at the end of the street. Negative: No comment

We had a family vacation at Woodside, with all ages and everyone was happy. It was large and spacious, with beautiful views from the many windows. It rained most of the time but it was so comfortable inside we did not care. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. Overall a great time for all and it was nice to able to walk to a restaurant and little market for any last minute ingrediants. Would definitely go back.

We have stayed at over 20 VRBO rentals. My wife reads all the reviews & posted information about the house. This is the first time that the VRBO list/info did not match the house. The listing did not state there was another vacation rental right next to the main house (looks like a converted garage). This certainly should be disclosed. The host information did not state it was a management company. This should be disclosed correctly. There was no description or directions provided & it was difficult to find in daytime. If it had been dark, we would never have found it. There is no sign indicating address nor can you see the house from street. Must turn on a dirt road. All other vacation rentals we have stayed at have an info guide with specifics about the house, appliances, or fireplace, etc. This property had NO information at the house. Only information emailed to us was wifi, checkin/out, & key. Picture online shows a full wood holder on the porch. There was no wood for the fireplace. Holder was on the porch empty. Called the property management company and they said we could probably buy some wood at the store. Listing states there is an enclosed yard area for the dog. We found it – but the entire enclosed dog yard had weeds that were knee high. House is listed it can sleep ten people, surprised to find a note on the washing machine stating that you can only wash one load a day. The house has nice gathering spaces, kitchen & coffee bar were well equipped.

Beautiful house in an even more beautiful location. The hike down to the creek behind the house was lovely and very doable with small children. It’s walkable to Alice’s Restaurant (we never got a chance to eat there, it was SUPER busy!) During our stay, the tv cord was missing (mentioned in a previous guests comment). We were told a cord was enroute, but it hadn’t arrived by the time we left. Agree with previous guest comments that the coffee area is not well lit, we used phone flashlights. WiFi didn’t really work, we think the router is in the cottage next door because an extender was in our house. Verizon phones had full service though so it was okay! There were items left from prior guests, but it didn’t put a damper our stay. Oh! And it is quite difficult to find especially at night. The road to turn on doesn’t post the house address anywhere unlike the only other house on the same road (different street address). Beds were comfy and the host was responsive. Thank you!!

We had a very hard time finding the spot and no one responded to our messages for at least 30 minutes upon check-in, and the response after telling the host we couldn’t figure out where the house was was just typing the address again. Not helpful. The road to the house was extremely muddy, super hard to navigate with a sedan. Couldn’t find the lock box, last people who were there were still removing their items from the patio. TV didn’t work, ruined our plans for our first evening in. Wish there were more basic cooking supplies in the kitchen. Would not stay again.

I had the most relaxing weekend in years. My family decided to spend a weekend in the woods before our kids headed back to college and to be all together one last time with our older dog who had a recent cancer diagnosis. It rained all weekend but it was so cozy in the cabin. We read books, played board games, and snuck out to Alice’s Restaurant for great dinners. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty space for privacy or to gather. The kitchen is huge with everything you need to cook. I enjoyed cooking while gazing out a nature and birds gazing back at me. The grounds are gorgeous even though it was too wet to enjoy them this time. I imagine the summers are incredible. But for me, a chance to get away and listen to the rain was just perfect.

We stayed for just over two weeks with our two young kids. It was a perfect location, with proximity to literally a new hike or outdoor activity every day. The house isn’t so far into the mountains either, so it was easy to make day trips into San Francisco and San Jose and everywhere in between. That said, the house had a distinct smell of pets that had stayed prior and there was pet dander on the floors, only one of the bathrooms had a workable shower, and being an older home, there were a lot of bugs that crept inside. Although the description says there is high speed Wi-Fi, we did not find that it worked very well outside of the smart TV. The oven also wasn’t working while we were there, but the owner did drop off a countertop oven for us to use. Overall, it was a good stay where the spectacular setting and location outweighed the drawbacks, but I would probably not consider it again for such a long stay, and certainly not for 10 people as the home says it can accommodate.

Absolutely beautiful getaway spot! It rained while we were there and we loved every minute of it. The surrounding redwoods and raindrops on the roof made for a meditative, peaceful environment. Perfect for hunkering down with a book or having fun on a family game night. Everything was as-described in the listing, including the convenient and gorgeous hiking trails around the back of the house. My mother who has some disabilities was visiting. We were relieved and grateful that there were not any accessibility issues. The cleanliness of the house also stood out, which was a big plus for us. Oh, and a fantastic shower! All in all, a great spot I can easily recommend.

Andreia's place was fantastic. Being familiar with the area, it felt like home in the woods. Surrounded by stunning Redwoods. Gorgeous, quiet, and comfortable. Loved the log cabin ambiance sprinkled with some modern touches. Loved seeing the moon through the skylights. A very peaceful, well kept place other than the motorcyclists that frequent the area but it's tucked far enough that it's not a bother. Walking distance to a popular local spot. Andreia was very responsive when we couldn't find the TV remote but we found it. Really great trip and we hope to return. As with any beautiful place that's a little off the grid, there is a windy road up to it but a pretty drive where also cyclists share the road.

We had a wonderful stay with the family over thanksgiving. The house was very clean and well equipped. The location was excellent. In the redwoods but lots of light around the house. Walking trails walking distance away. We walked to Alice’s for dinner and heard a great band on the deck. We loved the prix fix meal at Mountain House with their fireplaces roaring. 20 min from the beach and even closer to 280. Communication with the property manager was excellent. Loved this 1934 log cabin with upgraded amenities. We will definitely be back!

Our family of four adults plus 2 extended family members loved the house. It has the charm of a mountain cabin while also being comfortable and spacious in most rooms and having a modern well-equipped kitchen and good wifi. The setting in the tall redwoods is amazing and very peaceful. Communication with the host Andreia was easy, and she always responded very promptly. It’s a rather long and windy drive up hwy 84 but well worth the effort!

Overall, 6 adults had a nice peaceful weekend at the cabin. The common space was ample, beds comfy, and place was clean. It’s an interesting combination of new & old - some parts of cabin dating back to the 30s & other parts added on or remodeled in more recent years. So it’s a bit funky & some things like the closets were odd, but not bad, just what you’d expect from an old house. The older part of the house could use some improvements with the lighting - some spots were pretty dark (like by the coffee area). We cooked dinner in the house one night & there was ample cooking utensils & accessories. The fire burning stove was great and cozy & helped heat the house on a cold rainy weekend. My only complaints: 1) we asked for early checkin beforehand & there was no one using the house several days before our date. Andreia said she’d let us know when cleaning crew left, but never did. 2) The downstairs room has musty smell & mold sensitive people may want to sleep upstairs.

Our family of 5 used this spot as our basecamp when visiting Stanford over a long weekend. We had plenty of space for everyone and really enjoyed this special gem tucked away in the woods. It was wonderful waking up to the forest all around us, and above us through the skylights. We also loved the proximity to Alice's restaurant, where we had two great meals during our stay. Andreia was communicative about everything up front, and we didn't have any problems or need to reach out. This home was very clean with all of the important appliances and cookware needed. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay and we even ended up extending our stay for 2 more nights. The location is magical, looking out of the windows and seeing enormous trees was breathtaking. The beds were super comfortable and had some of the softest linen I've ever slept on! The house is walking distance from Alice's Restaurant which we enjoyed very much as it meant we didn't always have to get the kids in the car to go eat something. Alice's has excellent food and service and a great vibe, so definitely reccomend going there. Note that Wifi reception is not the best throughout the house, downstairs usually was fine (there's a TV with Netflix too).

The location was very good; we found great nearby restaurants and easy access to highways, San Jose, and Cupertino. The neighborhood was quiet and a couple of us got out for early morning runs and walks. The host was very responsive when we reached out.

There was no cable on the TV so it was also impossible to play anything on there. Just beware that you might not have internet while staying here and you might also have no cell service (I had none on AT&T). I messaged the host about this and did not receive a response

We loved this sweet 1930 era cabin. A great blend of historic, stylish and functional. Amazingly peaceful redwood setting with multiple hang out spaces inside and out. Fully equipped gourmet kitchen, comfortable sofas for lounging, cozy bedrooms, and we loved that we could walk to the Trading Post for breakfast burritos and to Alice’s restaurant for burgers, love music and craft beers, but come back to the sound of rustling trees. Multiple skylights add beautiful dappled light. Wifi in the house was fine but be sure to download maps before you venture out because cell reception in the woods is limited. Great communication from Andreiea. We would definitely stay again.

Andreia’s place was so stunning and peaceful. Close to some great hikes. The kitchen was very well equipped. There was plenty of linens, blankets, and firewood. We spent a long weekend there as a family to celebrate my dad’s 70th and had a wonderful time. Super responsive host. We would definitely book this place again.

Nice location, lotsa space indoor and outdoor. Few difficulties with my meeting & parking I had shared about in advance, but spoke with Matt who was very helpful to resolve and communicate with. Only concern leaving was the door to the patio locked but could still be pushed opened tge lock did nothing. There is a circle of bells on the handle, to make noise maybe this was already known, but to be In the woods with a door that could be opened and my kids downstairs was a big concern for me. We left after night 1.

Amazing place, we had a big group and a furry friend with us. Rang in the New Year with pouring rain but the space was extremely comfortable and had enough room for all of us to be together. Amazing kitchen where we spent a lot of time, as well as downstairs lounge area with a Smart TV. Also spent time in the room with fireplace while playing board games. Great location if you want to getaway from city sound and close to great hiking spots. Wish we had more time outside and in the patios but due to the rain, it was not possible. Andreia was so friendly and responsive to any questions I had. Overall, amazing!

We came for a weekend away with our grown kids. It was tricky to find at night. It’s quite dark but once found so worth it. There was an issue with the heat the first night it was quite cold but Andreia was very responsive and we were fine the rest of the stay. The house waswonderful. So much space for a large family. Big windows to look out and see the Redwoods. The kitchen was amazing. Well stocked lots of dishes, pots etc. great for cooking meals. A short walk to Alice’s Restarant a must try. Great hiking trails as well. The showers were terrific, comfortable beds. Would stay again.

Such a cozy and comfy home in the redwoods. We happened to need a place to stay for several days while a family member had surgery and recovered at Stanford Hospital. It’s just a 20 min drive up the hill from campus, and though very windy, totally worth it. The home is gorgeous and well laid out with so many nice outdoor spaces and a big airy kitchen with great amenities. Surgery went well and we are all safe and at home, but I would totally recommend this as a getaway for family or friends. The area is remote yet walkable to a popular restaurant for the area and a small grocery.
