Clean and comfortable but RIGHT on the highway. It was shown as located closer to the ocean and the corner of a busy street and the highway was very noisy. The kitchen and one bath had a horrible, persistent ant problem even though we put all of our food in the refrigerator. We did enjoy the comfortable beds and large couches to relax on

The unit is a duplex on the corner of hwy 1 and a cross street at a stop light. So not only do you get the roar of traffic, when the light turns red you get to hear everyone’s loud music form their cars. There was only two of us, but we had to try each room to see which was the least noisy. Couldn’t sleep. The map drops the pin for this location well away from hwy 1 and between hwy 1 and the coast. The pin drop for the other unit was correct though. Not sure whose fault the placement of the pin for this unit is. The house itself is nice and clean and a short drive to a pay to park beach and short drive or good solid walk to town.

My family of four had an absolute blast on our long weekend in Halfmoon Bay. Andreia is an amazing host, and everything was as dipicted in the listing. There were some great ideas in the recommendations she made (we did Maverick's Beach and the Fitzgeralrd Marine Preserve), but we enjoyed our day at the closest - Poplar Beach - most of all. One note - if you have any "gear" it is really too far to comfortably walk in our opinion, but the day rate of the parking area was totally worth it to have an extra hour at the beach and totally walkable if you just want to walk and don't have a cart full of beach gear.

It is right next to the highway, so it might disturb a light sleeper, especially if leaving a window cracked open, although that was not really an issue for us. We found the beds extremely comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay there.

Stayed at Sarah’s place in Half Moon Bay for a wedding with a group of friends. It was a good amount of space for 5 people and we appreciated everything stocked in the kitchen. The listing is close to the restaurants, shops, and the beach, but on a pretty busy street itself. One of the highlights was the puzzle in the Airbnb. We all had fun working on that! Overall, Sarah’s place was nice and met our needs for the weekend.

It took us a minute to figure out that the lock box needed for this apartment is right behind you as you face the front door. The house was very comfortable, spacious, and clean. Positive: It is impossible for me to overstate how amazing this place is. It is the very definition of a luxury accommodation. They literally thought of everything. The location is perfect. The beds are comfortable. Each room has a TV and it's own temperature control. There is room to spread out and it has one of the best equipped kitchens I have ever seen in a vacation rental. Negative: The dryer squeaks like nothing else. I'm sure they will have it fixed in no time.

It was surprising that it's right on the highway, so we got a little noise and there's a little pollution if you keep your windows open, but there's heat and AC and the weather is never really extreme. If there were screens on the windows, that would alleviated the issue of getting air in the unit. Overall, minimal issues.

Sarah’s home in Half Moon Bay was perfect for our stay. The bedrooms had plenty of space and there is a washer and dryer. Sarah was very responsive and friendly as well! A note to those staying in Sarah’s or anyone’s Airbnb. One of the instructions from Sarah was to take shoes off before entering the home. It really does help with keeping the home clean and floors more sanitary to not have guests tracking dirt and who knows what kind of germs into the house. It’s not only considerate to your host but also fellow guests!

Stayed for a week and worked remotely, the place was very clean and comfortable and the WiFi was fast. We cooked and the kitchen was well-stocked with pots & pans, spices, and olive oil. We enjoyed walking into town for dinner and it was easy to cross highway one on the crosswalk to walk to the ocean for gorgeous sunsets each night. When we booked we thought the location showed it on the ocean side of highway one but it's actually right on the highway on the downtown side. There's a decent amount of highway noise (didn't bother us but worth knowing if you're a light sleeper!) Overall a great apartment, well-stocked with a good location.

Beware! This house is right on Hwy 1 and the traffic noise at all hours of the day is intolerably loud. Almost all of the windows face the highway and cars were revving their engines and racing down the street so loudly we were unable to sleep and had to cancel the reservation. We saw a drug bust right outside our window as we were putting our small children to bed. The blackout curtains are installed incorrectly and don't cover the window which is a problem since the house is on the highway and the street lights shine straight into most of the rooms making it impossible to sleep. When we spoke to the other tenant staying on the other side of the duplex, they said this street noise was typical for this house. Do not stay here. The host was unresponsive to our concerns and incredibly unhelpful. Do not stay here. We were charged 2/3 of our total stay for one night and our host refused to offer a refund.
