Bella was an absolutely amazing host and very responsive to anything and everything. The house was squeaky clean and very beautiful piece of property with a decent view of Donner Lake. The kitchen was very clean and easy to find everything. The rooms were spotless and well taken care of with plenty of storage for longer stays. Overall would absolutely recommend Bella and her Donner property.

The master bath was tiny and felt crowded so much wasted space in the lay out of the house. Did not make sense why the vanity would make it difficult to use the toilet. The bathroom in the hall much more user friendly. And then the bed in the master needs a better way to get up on it. Not the best idea to have one ladder if two people are sleeping in the bed. There were a few trash bags for the whole time we were there. Which were particularly hidden from view and you are asked to take the trash out and trash is marked. Which it is not. I understand not every where has parking available. But it is a tight squeeze for getting in and out of the drive ramp. Requirment when renting only have one small economy car. And hope noone block you way out. The exterior needs some upkeep, scared to getting splinters in my hands just the hand rails and on the deck. The windows have a great view of the sky and electric lines outside. But there is no way to block any sunlight from coming in.

I am a long term Truckee local but needed to find a place for a friend from out of town. Bella's place was perfect! It is in a beautiful location at Donner Lake and has a partial lake view from the front deck. I spent time there as well and must say the house is great! It was super clean, spacious and better than any of the pictures. If you are in this area and need a place to stay - I highly recommend this house!

Bella's place at Dinner Lake was centrally located, being just a short drive to both the lake and Truckee. The common living apace was generous with high ceilings, comfy sectional, and a beautiful deck to take in the 3 roads up from lake view. While the pictures were accurate, there were a few things that might make the stay better. 1. Better description of parking situation (sharing steep driveway with neighbor and super tight turnaround to turn around), 2. take the master bed off the extremely high dressers that it's perched on...we didn't sleep there because we didn't feel safe stepping down in a garage step ladder to get on and off the bed), and 3. equip the house with more fans (no AC and while Tahoe doesn't get super hot, there's huge windows hearing the place up in the afternoon with no real way to cool down the house to sleep). Lastly would love to have had some things like beach towels or chairs to use at the lake consideringit's so close.

The house is in a good location close to the public Piers on lake Donner. The cleaning fee is very high considering the house wasn’t very clean. Some of the windows don’t have locks if that bothers you. Maybe bring your own towels and blankets.

We loved staying at Bella's. The view was better than we expected, with a huge front window and balcony overlooking the lake. The location was perfect, close to everything Donner offers but away from the other visitors (it's on a dead-end street). The house was clean and had everything we needed. We were there during a heat wave and found that the trick is to keep the windows open all night and then close them in the morning, keeping the cool air in. It stayed comfortable.

Great location and place, but I must raise an issue with the hygiene of the pillows. The comforters and pillows were dusty and appeared to have been used before, as they were not washed. Unfortunately, this made sleeping on them quite uncomfortable, and I had to keep them aside during my stay. Hygiene is an important aspect of any accommodation, and I hope this concern will be addressed for the comfort of future guests.

It was a great location and a beautiful property. It is so close to the Donner lake. Only complaint is the cleaning fee cost way more than the rental fee. It was $270 and we stayed here for only one night. Other than that, Bella’s was a very gracious host. Thank you for a beautiful evening.

We loved how close Bella‘s place was to Donner Lake. We loved the deck, and the kitchen was well equipped. The place was clean and quiet, and we appreciated being able to book last minute. As other guests mentioned, the lofted bed was a little weird (as the only non bunk bed in particular), there was a weird smell (likely pets on the carpet, although fine once windows aired out) and communication through the app was tough. Seems like they have been on Airbnb for a number of years but just recently relisted, so I’m guessing these hiccups will be solved in the near future. If so, would recommend!

We enjoyed staying as a family of 5 at Bella‘s House. The house is located on a hill with a peek-a-boo view of the Donner lake in a very quiet neighborhood. The driveway is very steep and you definitely need to move around with the car as there is not much to do near the house. The house was recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable for a family of 5. We all had space to spread out and really enjoyed eating dinner on the terrace. There is also a table tennis and dartboard our kids had fun with. One more thing to note is that the queen bed in the master bedroom is mounted on top of cabinets and thus definitely more than 3 feet from the floor. A tool ladder can be used to climb up to the bed, but it’s not mounted onto the bed and thus a bit unstable. Our teenager didn’t mind this tough and enjoyed loved sleeping in a private room with their own TV and bathroom. It was a great vacation!

A beautiful place to stay, in the woods by a pristine lake! Very comfortable and close to everything you could want. Lots of sleeping space, perfect for couples or families! I do recommend against it if you have a trailer, though. It's a pretty tight drive when you're towing. :D

The stay was good overall. It’s a very cozy place. The place was actually beautiful. We had two main issues. In our party of 6 we did occupy all of the beds that were available. Several of us had the complaint that the bedding had odor to it, such as the smell of armpits, etc, which made for unpleasant sleeping. Given guests here are charged a cleaning fee, it was very hard to see that bedding is clearly not regularly washed. It was very off putting. I ended up sleeping on the sofa without a blanket. Next, the door to enter is very hard to work with. To lock the door you need to wrestle with it for a white which was annoying.

I booked this as a special fishing trip for my husband's birthday while our son was home from college. I specifically asked the property manager beforehand if the driveway would be plowed. When my husband arrived, the driveway wasn't plowed, he shoveled it himself, and the stairs were covered in ice. The furniture hadn't been put back in place after the rugs were cleaned. The icemaker didn't work, the fireplace didn't work-there was note saying it was broken. It would have been good to know beforehand, we chose this rental over another since there was a fireplace. The house is not what we were expecting and the property manager was not helpful or apologetic.

Great value, great location. We had a great time grilling on the patio watching the sun set. A couple of notes for future renters: there is no AC so if it's a heat wave, you might be miserable. Also, you have to drive 2 houses down from the address to access the driveway and double back.

This is a beautiful home to stay at, great location and proximity to the lake. Simple house rules to follow, inside slippers to maintain cleanliness however there are a couple old stains on the carpet and a torn patio screen. I did have an issue with the tv in the living room and it was resolved almost immediately. Communication with the host and the assistant was great and time efficient. The driveway is narrow and at a steep incline to be noted. Enjoyed the mini ping pong table and the deck of cards that were provided for our stay. The home is very spacious and the view is stunning. At night the breeze was very cooling and the neighborhood is very quiet. We had a very relaxing time and would recommend those who want to disconnect for a while to stay here.

Had a great stay! Great location! Property Manager went above and beyond on communication. We got to the home and noticed the home had not been cleaned. Spoke to the property manager, and he took all the measures to make sure this was taken care of. On the option on cleanliness I put clean because of how well they took care of us. Things happen sometimes and we understand. Thank you for the stay, my little family enjoyed it greatly!

Beautiful location. House is a little tricky to get to as all lake side homes are, I find. Adequate space, stocked kitchen (appliances, etc) . Communication with the owner was great. Communication from the property management company was not the best, but Andreia made up for that. The view from the deck was beautiful and the area is awesome.

House was great: very clean, artwork was fun & the ping pong table is a great add. View from patio is beautiful. The adult bed 5 feet high & needing a utility stool to get on was not my jam, but we loved everything else. If you aren’t familiar with Donner lake (we weren’t), access is tricky. The closest access is only a pier after crossing a busy street, there are several “residents only” access points, a beach that requires $10 (we didn’t go as on a holiday weekend there was a line of cars wanting in the parking lot), and the west end public beach wasn’t great. Great proximity to downtown truckee and great options for restaurants, bars & shopping. Loved the area, just disappointed in lake access.

The location of this place is amazing. It's right next to our favorite Donner lake water access spot. Although there is only a partial view of the lake, I enjoyed every bit of my deck time.. watching the sunset and the beautiful trees all around made our trip even more special. The kitchen was also well stocked, the check-in and check-out instructions were clear and our stay was as smooth as it could be.

Our hosts appear neglectful of their Truckee listing. When we reached out to let them know about some problems, their communication with us was brief and fruitless, with no offer of assistance in any way. Specifically, the hosts left a lot of trash and recyclables in exposed bins on the premises that we noticed as soon as we arrived. This is bear country, and exposed trash poses a big problem both for residents and wildlife. A bear even wandered by and knocked down one of the property’s garbage containers. (We did not use their trash or recycling facilities at all, opting to dispose of our garbage on our own.) More generally, it is obvious that this house just is not lived in: no bedside lamps in bedrooms or near places to sit, missing or torn screens on windows/doors, windows that don't open, towel racks falling off the wall, no hand towels or wash clothes. The location is great, the hand ping pong table is fun! I hope the hosts will up their game because this could be a really nice place to stay.

Close to the water (10 min walk to a public pier that is often empty), close to Truckee (10 min drive), close to hiking and beaches. We had people working here every day and the internet gave us no problems at all. The house got a little hot in the middle of the day because of the window wall facing the sun - if you're going to be working inside you may consider bringing a fan. Highly highly recommend!

The living area with pitched ceilings were brilliant and let a lot of natural light in. We spent most of our time on the super comfy sofa or out on the balcony. The kitchen is cramped but well equipped with good appliances and utensils. The bed in the master bedroom appeared to be a mattress on a frame bolted on to two dressers which made it awkwardly high, requiring a step ladder. Bedrooms were all very bare with little furniture or aesthetic but the living room is really where you want to hang out thanks to the stellar view.

We were grateful to stay here last minute after our plans changed due to campgrounds un Tahoe closing. The house was very clean and check-in and check out was super easy. Andreia was quick to reply to my messages. I could imagine the driveway being tricky to navigate in the winter without 4 wheel drive since it's on a slope but we stayed in the summer so we had no issues and we really appreciated being able to park 3 cars right at the house for easy unloading. The large deck with lake views is fantastic! Extra amenities like paper towels, hand soap, shampoo/conditioner, olive oil and ziplock bags was a nice bonus to have. Overall a great stay, thank you Andreia!

The house is in a great location and was very clean. The one way driveway was very difficult to navigate and the house didn’t have much by way of amenities, so make sure you bring everything you think you could possibly need like beach towels, a fan during summer, tupperware etc. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

Pros: Good location, within walking distance to Shoreline park and short drive to area restaurants. Nice view of the lake from the porch. Tons of good hikes and beautiful places to visit in the area. The place itself was nice and clean and comfortable. Cons: Master bed is up high and you need to climb a step ladder to get onto it (probably not ideal for older folks). Driveway is a little bit challenging to get in and out of.

Andreia's place is great! The location is fantastic - you can walk down to Donner Lake in less than 10 minutes. The house was insanely clean and everything worked great. It was a little warm the weekend we stayed, but the house cools down at night. If you plan on hanging out inside the house during the day in the summer, I'd recommend bringing a fan or two :) Also, check out the photos of the beds as the "Queen" was actually a full and was lofted (i.e. you need to climb a small step ladder to get into the bed). The other two rooms have bunk beds - one of the bunks has a full size as the bottom bunk. Overall, great stay and we would definitely stay here again.

Place was clean and had a nice view of Donner Lake and was within walking distance of Shoreline park. All in all, a good place to stay, clean, close to area restaurants, hikes, and other fun things to do. This is a good family friendly option in the Truckee area. A couple things made it so that I didn't give it 5 stars- the major one would be the master bed. It is up high and you have to climb a step ladder to get into it. For the price paid I would just like a normal bed and if you are an older couple I could see it being a real problem.

We booked this house last minute after we arrived to Tahoe to find out that the campgrounds we had planned to camp at were closed. I really appreciate the quick communication and ease of checking in and checking out. The house was very clean and we appreciated the extra amenities that were there that other houses don't always include such as soap, shampoo, paper towels, olive oil, ziplock bags, etc. Thank you for having us!
