I enjoyed my stay, somethings in the kitchen were broken or unuseable but it was not much of an inconvenience for us. Location wise there is not much to do and definetely not many restaurant near by worth going too; the closest one was around 30 minutes away. However, it was private and peaceful which is exactly what I wanted. If you want a peaceful, calm getaway, her place is perfect.

This place is amazing! It is very spacious and allowed us to have a very relaxing time with my family. My adult kids commented on how "chill" it was, since there weren't any signs on what not to do in every room... it's only a very short walk to the beach, and the view onto the ocean from the living room window is breathtaking. The beds were so comfortable. We also enjoyed the beautiful and very private backyard. The dishwasher was a little wonky as it's not bolted in, but everything else was in great working order.

This property, despite its beautiful home and great location, presented challenges. I was woken up by early-morning gardeners, disrupting the peace and enjoyment of my stay. Additionally, the lack of hot water added a layer of discomfort, making it less than ideal. Relocation was offered due to these circumstances. While I appreciate their attempt to address the issue, the relocation option added another layer of inconvenience. The home we chose was specifically for its location, and we had already settled in when the relocation offer was presented. My subsequent experience with a second property under “The Wave Houses” management was disappointing and, more importantly, raised serious safety concerns. My stay had to be canceled due to an overpowering smell of chemicals, raising significant safety concerns. I hope this feedback prompts immediate attention from the management to ensure the well-being and security of future guests.

It's a nice place, in a nice neighborhood, and a great view of the ocean. The house has everything you need. There will little things that could be improved. They're are so many light switches, it was hard to tell what did what. The fireplace in the master bedroom either didn't work or wasn't obvious how to turn it on. As far as cleanliness, it looked like no one had been there in a while, but it was mostly clean. I only mention some of these things because I've stayed at a lot of places and this place could be really incredible with some small tweaks and upgrades.

We had a group of 11 in our family for four days. The house is spacious and allowed each of us to choose to join in with the noisy fun and activity, or instead to retreat to any of several quiet and comfortable areas. We found everything we needed, towels etc. The upper floor is the main living area, and we had no problem with our upstairs activity disturbing the downstairs sleepers. The kitchen is very large and roomy, with every coffee option you could dream of! The house has many views from every window making it bright and cheerful and open. The backyard was put to good use by the little ones, giving them a safe, secure and entertaining place to play. The beach is a short walk from the home and a perfect place to spend the day. The upstairs primary shower continues to have a sticking door that needs some attention, and the dishwasher is not bolted in (so use caution when loading and unloading your dishes). Despite these issues, I would definitely recommend this home for a larger family. The spacious floor plan and location so near the beach just can't be beat!

There were 12 of us celebarating my Mother's 80th birthday. Our family included 4 young adults (men 18-21) who all stayed upstairs: 1 in each sofa bed upstairs and 1 in each sofa type couches large enough for all. (All young men are 6' to 6' 5" so if that gives you an idea, that the boys had enough room. Mom and sis stayed in the master bedroom and then the remaining 6 peeps (3 couples) were in the bedrooms downstairs. The only slight minus is that you have 6 adults downstairs with only one bathroom so it got a little tricky in the a.m. with folks needing to use the restroom but not a huge deal. The hostess was extremely responsive. There was a slight communication issue as a result of the storms recently and the housecleaner who had locked supplies in a closet. When we arrived there were extremely sparse lines which we didn't realize until late into the evening that the young men needed sheets/pillow cases and extremely limited towels but we messaged the next morning and our needs were immediately resolved. One doesn't think to check all that upon arriving but it worked out. The first night we ordered BBQ locally which was a disappointment as a side note...2nd night we made a lovely cioppino dinner which is a family tradition. I would love to return when the weather is better. One of the things I wanted to emphasize is that the MB and Kitchen are upstairs and there's kind of a bonus room off the livingroom with the couches. All in all - you can't go wrong here but would love it if they had a hot tub in the back yard which would be icing on the cake!!!!

We had a great stay despite some crazy rain storms. So many rooms had views of the ocean which helped us enjoy our vacation even when we were stuck inside. Weather led to some internet outages which the managers worked diligently to fix even though much if it was outside their control. We were very happy with the service and highly recommend. All beds were extremely comfortable!

This was our second stay at this property. We absolutely love the house, the views and the proximity to the beach. Both times we have stayed we have brought our small dogs. It looks like the listing may have changed to prohibit pets which is a shame as it is just a few blocks away from a great dog beach. This house is fully equipped to cook Thanksgiving dinner. Plenty of space and a wonderful fire pit in the back yard. We have enjoyed staying here and hope to book again.

We had 2 families sharing this beautiful, well maintained property. There was enough space without feeling crowded. Lovely location a block from the waterfront; great views from the house. Close to good restaurants, grocery store and Half Moon Bay downtown area. The only area for improvement is to have the garbage and recycle bins emptied before new guests arrive. They were so full that there was barely room for our garbage and recycling after our few days stay. Highly recommend; would definitely stay there again.

The upstairs has the master bedroom and big bathroom, a half bath, kitchen, dining room x 2, a party room with a bar, living room with a gas fireplace. The downstairs has three big bedrooms, a big laundry room, one full bathroom and the front door. My Mom is almost 84, so we put her upstairs so she didn’t have to go up and down the stairs as much. The house sits an equal distance from highway one and the beach. You can hear both the traffic and the ocean. The windows are screwed shut which i did not like. The towels and whatnot are in a closet downstairs. It took us a bit to find them. Super easy check-in as well as check-out. The gas firepit was nice and the girls loved making S’mores. The backyard is awesome! So many things to see and do close to the house. I would definitely recommend this home. Thank you for the use of your wonderful home 🏡

I usually try to leave only glowing reviews to help people rent their properties. I am also usually not too not picky, but maybe it is because we are in Covid times. Unfortunately, our check in was delayed by 30-45 min which left us standing outside in the cold as the cleaners finished. This was difficult for us because we had two small children and people over 70 with us. Another bummer was that the bridge to cross over to the longer beach was closed so the only other beach nearby was a smaller one. It was still a nice beach but when the tide is up, the beach disappeared. There is a great walking trail nearby so that was nice. The place itself is enormous and very nice. Great for a big group. It has two fireplaces and unfortunately, the one in the master bedroom did not work. Which was a real bummer for my wife and I, who paid for the place. The property manager offered to send a tech to fix it but with Covid, we didn’t feel comfortable with that. He said he would send instructions on how to take a stab at fixing it, but he never did. The master shower is incredible with two shower heads. Unfortunately, after about 3 minutes, the water begins going cold and gets icy very quickly... The stairs are pretty steep so anyone of an older age needs to be carful, my father in law fell the first night pretty hard. It was also tough for our two dogs that are a little older as well. It wouldn’t be an issue for younger dogs or people of course. The backyard is awesome! Great layout and use of space. The dogs and all of Our group loved it! All in all, for the right group, it’s a great spot. For us, I’d rate our stay and experience as a 3-4

This is the second time we’ve rented one of Andreia’s homes in this area. We’ve liked both homes but this one is a little more special with a better floor plan, beautiful backyard, and much larger than it appears from the outside. She’s easy to work with and our group of 4 families, who have been vacationing together for over 15 years, felt this is one of the best layouts out of all our trips from Monterey to Bodega Bay. There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor and the kitchen and master bedroom is on the second floor with a view of the ocean. Honestly didn’t think there was a view when we drove by this home in the past. There is also an extra room in the front with two futon beds. We fished along the shore just two blocks away, biked along the ocean, and visited the breweries within walking distance. Everyone was impressed with this house with a free flowing layout and attention to detail.

The good things about the house were the location, large rooms for plenty of people, and the general conveniences of the large washer and dryer, and many kitchen appliances. It is a very attractive house, with serviceable furniture, but little decor. The disappointing things were the stained couch cushions, dirty windows, and grimy looking walls in many areas. (The walls need a scrub with a soapy sponge, and to be repainted in some places.) There were ants in the kitchen, and as we had a baby and toddler with us we didn’t contact the hosts about them as we didn’t want chemicals used. Generally, the house was clean, but not sparkling clean, and there were plenty of towels. For the price we expected more, and probably wouldn’t stay there again. As an Airbnb host, myself, I know how important a review is to the process, and am trying to be honest.

Beds were super comfy and the living area and huge kitchen upstairs were awesome for our big party. Backyard well maintained with lovely sitting area and fire pit. We were very comfortable here! Overall this home is really wonderful! Close to the beach, views of the ocean from the upstairs, amazing fenced in backyard, and spacious for our family plus one dog. Important to note that the house is listed as 3 bathrooms but in reality is 2.5. If we had known this, we probably wouldn’t have booked this house. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay!

We enjoyed using the fire table and grill, although the latter requires some repairs as it didn't function properly. The living area, kitchen, master bedroom and sunroom are on the 2nd floor. Three bedrooms and bathroom on the 1st floor. Spacious interior, easily accommodated our group of 8 without feeling cramped. However, we experienced some issues with the heating system on our first morning and promptly contacted the host. Within an hour, we received a response from what we assumed was a property manager who came out to reset the emergency gas shut off. Although we encountered another problem with no hot water, which required another visit from the property manager, we appreciated the host's compensation for the lost time. Despite these minor inconveniences, we recommend this home for its excellent location and comfortable accommodations.

This is our second time, and if we can book this place every weekend , I would. I always feel at home and relaxed when I’m here . The kitchen is big and I like that I can cook for my family and hang out with the kids at the same time with the huge living room. My teenagers liked that they have their own spot where they could hang out with their friends and the little kids also have their nice place to play . I like that the beach is a few blocks away, nice to have a walk after dinner. The park is close by ,the kids rented a bike in a nearby surf shop. The back yard is so pretty with the bloomed spring flowers perfect for Easter egg hunting . Andrea was nice enough to let us extend so we can check out relaxed and not rushed. Definitely will come back and I highly recommend this place

Water pressure in kitchen and bathrooms was really good too. Location was nice just a short walk to beach. Yet off road for some privacy. Place was super clean, modern, and backyard was gorgeous. Amenities was above and beyond. Probably one of the nicer AirBnB’s we have ever stayed in!!

The Waves house was perfect for our women's reunion. The location is amazing, with so many places to walk to. You could hear the surf at night and see the ocean from the house. We love to cook and were pleased with how the kitchen was stocked from pots and pans, to appliances and dishes. I was glad I brought foil and food wrap with me. There are nice storage bowls provided. There is ample room for socializing and space for quiet as well. The kitchen and all communal spaces are upstairs, (as described on the listing) just be aware if you have someone with physical challenges, and it would be a concern with children. Communication and response was excellent. Thank you Andreia. Other reviewers have mentioned the house could benefit from better cleaning and maintenance, but nothing detracted from our time together.

Our disappointment was that his large and beautiful home needs a good cleaning for the price. The windows are dirty so the views are minimized; the stove and oven need cleaning; and the carpets are stained in places. We have recommended that these things be attended to before the next visitors. On the positive, the beach is down the street and most conveniences and the downtown of Half Moon are a short drive. The hikes around are terrific.

Great water pressure. Huge living space, enough to spread out even with a large group. The upstairs is where the kitchen, master bedroom and living room are located. This spacious home had plenty of room for our family of 6 along with a kitchen stocked with great cooking amenities for a family who loves to cook together. Beds were especially comfortable. We will miss the cool weather and fabulous places to hike and eat. Nearby dining suggestions: Pasta Moon is a must, the HMB Brewing Company was fun and so was Barbara’s Fishtrap across from it. For a real treat, head to Pacifica for the unique Taco Bell Cantina where you can eat on the beach deck, watch the surfers, and add alcohol to your drinks!

The house is large, spacious and twice the size my family of 4 is used to. I’m so thankful Andreia allowed us to bring our senior dog (with early-on request). The doggy door and epic backyard made it incredibly comfortable. Other things to know: the beds are so very comfortable. The location is a quick walk to the beach and a restaurant overlooking the water. Otherwise it’s more of a neighborhood (vs walking around to shops, cafes, etc). Though getting to areas like that is close by, but more of a quick drive than walk). Lots of family fun board games available- the kids enjoyed twister, jenga, and more. We would definitely come back, and probably bring others since there’s plenty of room!

If you have a large family gathering it will easily accommodate many people. Beach access is a little tricky if you are carrying things as you have to walk down and to the right past the rock wall and down a small staircase. Only 1 TV so bring your electronics if this is an issue for your gathering. There is a bike trail very close so bring your bikes, it’s a blast! Overall it was a fabulous house and we had a wonderful time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location became available last minute and we jumped at the opportunity. As other reviewers stated, the house is walking steps to Miramar (dog friendly) beach. Our family enjoyed our morning walks to the beach. The house itself is large and spacious. We had 8 adults and 3 children and had more than enough room. We traveled with three young children and felt the house and neighborhood were very safe. The only thing to mention is we had to place a baby play pen at the top of the stairs to keep the toddler from trying to go up and down the stairs constantly (since the living room and kitchen are upstairs)-so this is just a tip to future travelers with young children to think ahead for possible solutions. The beds were SO comfy and the linens were clean and smelled very fresh. The bathrooms and common areas were clean and well maintained. Kitchen was fully stocked and spacious for cooking. There are two dining tables and bar stool seating for larger groups. The host Andreia had stopped by at the beginning of our stay to drop off some pots and pans. She was very friendly and gave us some excellent tips on fun things to do with the kids (including the Fiterzgerald tide pools-which was the best part of our trip). Communication was easy and quick with the hosts. We would love to stay again and truly enjoyed our trip.

Love the fire pit outside, it was the first place we crashed. The next day we discovered all the fun little spots in the yard and had such a lovely walk to the water. While the property is steps to the beach, it's not a sandy beach for kids to play in.. for some reason that's what I had envisioned. However, still beautiful and a must see. Beautiful place we loved staying in this home. The beach Access was a very short five minute walk. We enjoyed celebrating my daughter’s 30th birthday with friends and family. Very peaceful and Quiet community. Not commercialized and crazy busy. Perfect place to relax and take a break from life.

Our family had a wonderful getaway at the ocean! This house is very large and accommodated our group of nine easily. The bedrooms are roomy and the beds are very comfortable! Kitchen is large, back yard space is lovely, and there is a small view of the ocean. I wish the home had been as clean as the reviews I had read, carpets are a bit stained and there was a smell of pet urine in the master bedroom closet. Communication with Andreia is quick and helpful. Easy walk to the beach.

The location is amazing that we were able to walk to the beach after work in 3 minutes. Can't wait to visit again soon! Andreia was easy to get ahold of, responded quickly, and was very nice and accommodating. The beds were some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on, the entire group said they slept like babies! As shown in the photos, the house is beautiful and in a fantastic location. What the photos don't fully capture is how very spacious all the rooms are. There were only 4 of us so we could really spread out. In normal times, i could see this being the perfect space for a larger gathering of family or friends. We had a ball going back and forth to the beach several times a day, including every night for the gorgeous sunsets.

Andrea's beach house is a perfect family getaway, 2 blocks to the beach. Miramar was a great, local-feel beach with lots of kids and dogs. Note that most dogs are off leash in this stretch of beach, and friendly and well behaved! There are a couple of restaurants at the beach, but we visited during Covid19 so we ate at home. House features 3 bedrooms and 1 bath downstairs, and the master plus bath upstairs off kitchen and living area. The entire house is very spacious and comfortable, excellent for families. Fenced in backyard area is awesome and was easily our favorite place to hang out. Would love to come back!

Fantastic location near beach with a spacious home and wonderful backyard. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the home is nicely appointed with new furniture and great details like warm blankets and even Bundt pans for the cake we made. We brought bikes and enjoyed the peaceful paths north and south of the home, easy to ride to all the beaches and restaurants in the area.

This house is extremely spacious, with an absolutely huge kitchen that allows eating at a bar/counter, or at a table close by. Folks in the kitchen can also view the TV and enjoy the view either east towards Hwy 1 (which overlooks the yard), or west to the ocean. A multi-generational gathering should know that the kitchen and master bedroom are upstairs; all the other bedrooms and a full bathroom are downstairs. A convenient third 1/4 bathroom is available around the corner from the kitchen, which means the master bedroom can be kept private. The beach is two blocks west, and sand access is another two blocks north....very easy. The yard is lovely for coffee in the morning, or a socially-distanced BBQ with fire "feature" (not a pit...a rectangular coffee table kind of thing) when it's cold. The appliances and faucets are high-end and well constructed. This is a house that is a pleasure to work and cook in, or to bring home take out. The historic Miramar Beach Restaurant is on the way to the beach and is currently offering some dining in, as well as take away and patio dining. Wildlife watchers will enjoy the ravens, brown pelicans, hummingbirds and red-tailed and red-shouldered hawks cruising around the neighboring houses and in the back yard!

What an absolutely perfect location for a quiet family beach vacation. We had a fabulous visit - the location was absolutely perfect for our family of nine (5 adults, 4 kids). We loved walking to the beach, biking to the tide pools and restaurants and just hanging out in the big open upstairs enjoying the breeze and the views. The beach is about 2 blocks to a rocky scramble or one more block to steps to the sand. The beach to the North is more populated but swing back around the rocks (from the stairs) to where the house is and you can have your own strip of uncrowded sand to set up your blanket. Lots of people bring their dogs to the quiet small town beach, so you feel like you’re just one of the locals. The house itself is ideally situated between to cute coastal towns of Half Moon Bay and El Granada. Close enough that Safeway is a 10 minute drive but tucked away on a quiet street where the kids can play and bike without worrying about traffic. Speaking of biking (or walking) access to the Coastal Trail runs along the beach giving you easy biking access to Half Moon Bay to the South or El Granada to the North along a beautiful trail. We bikes to the tide pools with the kids for a great morning with the crabs and ocean life. The house itself was immaculate with plenty of space for our group. 3 of 4 bedrooms are downstairs with one shared bath, master and living areas (kitchen & living room) are upstairs so your group should be able to manage the stairs. The kitchen was spacious with plenty of plates, bowls, utensils and seating, and the open layout to living spaces was a wonderful way to be together without being on top of each other. It was a truly wonderful stay and we would come again in a heartbeat!

This is a gorgeous home, all of the furniture was recently completely updated, the backyard is beautiful, and the place itself is huge. If you need space for your family, this works great. The house is walking distance from the beach access and the coastal trail . A coffee shop is nearby and a great restaurant too. Andrea is amazingly prompt at answering questions and has tons of local information. The end of our trip was during Covid-19, so we didn't get to explore as much as we would have otherwise.

The place is huge
Great backyard. Love the high ceilings. The shower was epic BUT, the water cooled off after a few minutes and then within a couple More minutes, was literally icy cold... we also weren’t allowed in until 30 minutes past the check in time, which wouldn’t be a big deal normally but we were traveling with two kids and two adults over 75, so it was an issue. Also, it has two very nice fireplaces, unfortunately, one of them didn’t work. They offered to send a tech out but, we declined, due to Covid and just waited for Instructions to try on our own that never came. Another unfortunate was that the bridge going to the nearest Long Beach was closed so we only had access to a much smaller beach which is almost nonexistent during higher tide. It’s all Good though, we still enjoyed the place with us well decorated and enormous. Could easily house 10+ people comfortably. One block down to the water and 4 blocks to the beach.

Wonderful place to stay and visit if you like the costal area. Place we stay was wonderful and peaceful no one bother you and the people around were friendly. We come over to half moon bay bay Every few months . We stay at the cypresses Inn all the time can’t get any closer to the water and it beautiful be able see everyday ! So it was nice that the house we stay in was in that area. Plus you have the coastal town to visit and the drive to the other one is beautiful drive on the one highway.

Our family enjoyed our get-away to the ocean! We spent hours at the beach which my grandkids loved! The house is very large and accommodated the 9 of us easily - everyone had their own bedroom and bed! All of us agreed that the beds were extremely comfortable. We loved the walking distance to the beach and the backyard space. There is definitely noise from Hwy 1, but the waves can also be heard in the middle of the night. The communication with the host was helpful and timely. We cooked the majority of our meals at the house - the kitchen is quite large and allowed everyone to get into the fun of cooking. There were a few missing basics like a bottle opener, functioning can opener and wine cork, which I thought odd. The only reason I am rating the house as good and not excellent is that I didn't feel it was as clean as mentioned in other reviews. My first impression was a stained door mat as we entered into the laundry room and my second, unfortunately, was the smell of pet urine in the master closet, windows and porch area dirty as well (I know it is difficult to keep clean with the ocean air and mist). That being said, the house is perfect for a large group!

I deducted a star because of the lack of communication - the freezer in the kitchen was broken and the only freezer available was downstairs in the mudroom. We had to buy our ice. The television wouldn't work and after texting two different numbers, we were finally told that it was "streaming only". It's a big house and clean and a perfect location for beach visits!! But I believe the hosts should have told us before we arrived about the freezer and the tv.

Great weekend at the Beach
This was a last minute trip and while it was the only beach house available for our family and dog, we couldn't have been happier with the house. We met the manager's Dad, Dave who greeted us and went to the beach which is just two blocks away while they finished up the second stage cleaning, which made us feel comfortable given the current situation. The house is very spacious, comfortable with a great backyard for our dog. The backyard garden is lush and well maintained, along with the BBQ and gas firepit. The kitchen is well stocked for our dinner the first night, with restaurants nearby for the next days adventure. Having the beach so close was great and while it was a little smokey during our stay with the recent wildfires, we were fine inside. We enjoyed all of the amenities, including the unique jellyfish lights throughout the house, and the indoor gas fireplaces in the living room and master bedroom. Thanks so much for the great getaway weekend.

My family is rather large and busy. There was ample space and we were in walking distance to the beach. The house is beautiful and the pictures do not do the home justice. It is designed with openness and warmth. The bedrooms are large and the beds very comfortable. The backyard offers privacy, complete peace and tranquility. My entire family enjoyed themselves.
